I love living near downtown Eustis and beautiful Ferran Park. I’m raising my family, making friends and doing business right here in Eustis. As a resident, volunteer, and business owner, my goal is to see our City thrive. I’m here to serve!

Frequently asked questions
Sure! I was born in Chandler, AZ but raised in Clarksburg, WV. I attended West Virginia University where I obtained two BS Degrees, with my final one being a Bachelors in Pharmacy. After graduation in 1994, I lived in Martinsburg, WV until I moved to Florida in 2001.
I lived in Vero Beach for three years before moving to Lake County, in 2004. I lived in a few cities in Lake County before settling down in Eustis, in 2014, with my daughter, Ella, and my long-term girlfriend, Jamie Glover.
In 2016, I decided to obtain my mortgage license to help people obtain the goal of home ownership. I also continue to help a local pharmacy, as needed. No matter what line of business I’m in, I love being able to help others!
I have fallen in love with Eustis. I have been very involved with the community since moving here. I participate in community cleanup projects, I’ve helped reduce the speed limit on Grove St., and I enjoy being a resource to many residents who need help working with the City but aren’t sure how to do so.
Eustis deserves a Commissioner that is truly invested in the City. I don’t just work and live here. I own a business here and I’m raising a future generation here!
While I’ve not held an elected office before, my work experience in high-pressure situations and continuing education has equipped me with the skills I believe are necessary for a City Commissioner. I am always willing to help, and if I don’t know the answers then I know how to find them. I do not shy away from difficult situations or discussions, because I’ve been trained to deal with them.
As a pharmacist, I understand the importance of detail, I am comfortable with legal jargon and I am able to work under pressure. I must always be accurate, never be flustered, forever in concentration–because the stakes couldn’t be higher. I love being able to assist our residents by fulfilling their prescriptions and ensuring their needs are met.
As a mortgage broker and business owner, I help people put down roots in our town. (OK, so I will help them wherever they are, but I especially love it when I help someone move to Eustis!) To become a mortgage broker, I was required to undergo background and credit checks and continuing education. My job is to help people work out the details of their financial situation in order to secure their mortgage. I must be diligent with these details, because owning a home is a big step and responsibility for my clients, and I’ve been entrusted with helping them make the decision best for them.
I don’t want to be elected for clout, money or recognition. I simply want to serve my community in a deeper capacity.
Because I am the person that will work to get things done. As Eustis grows, I will work to keep a balance between that and our small-town charm. I will make sure we are using tax payer dollars to the fullest, being mindful that the commission and the tax payer dollars are for the benefit of the residents of Eustis.
Commissioners most always have the best of intentions in serving their community, but I feel they sometimes get stuck in the “process” of things. I will be a commissioner that continues to stay active directly within our community.
Our current Commissioners have done a great job, but I think it’s time to look at things with fresh eyes. Let’s get down to grass roots and talk to people, find out what is important to them and bring it back to the Commission for discussion and possible implementation.
- I am very passionate about everything I do, and I will bring that passion into the Commission.
- I have a flexible schedule with time to devote to this position, so my responsibilities will not fall to the wayside.
- I love volunteering in our community and will continue to do so as a Commissioner.
- I’m good at finding ways to bring people together to find common ground and achieve common goals.
- I’m a very good listener, and I’m empathic to everyone’s concerns and plights.
- I have strong attention to detail and work well in stressful environments.
- I’m a happy, easy-going person but I’m not afraid to take a stand or voice my opinion.
- While I am steadfast in my beliefs or choices, I also believe in educating myself and keeping an open mind to other possibilities.
This elected position would be my first rodeo. I suppose not having been elected before could be seen, by some, as inexperienced for this position. But, this is not my first experience in helping others, dealing with large budgets, working under stress or tight deadlines, making difficult and potentially life-changing decisions, working with a variety of individuals with potentially different view points, etc.
I know it will take some “on-the-job training” and there will be a slight learning curve, but I am very eager to learn. I welcome this experience, and I will work incredibly hard for our community.
I have worked with or am working with the City on a number of issues. The first being the safety of the residents and pedestrians along Grove St. I was successful in petitioning the DOT to lower the speed limit on Grove from 35 to 30 miles per hour.
I helped bring to the City’s attention that cross walks downtown are not safe, and we were able to install yellow alert signs–crucial to letting motorists know that a cross walk is there.
I am involved with many cleanup projects throughout the city, especially with the CleanUp Eustis group. I also participate in Adopt-a-Highway for Bay Street and Grove Street.
